Buckeye Local tops Edison, Harrison to win tri-match

CADIZ -- Buckeye Local, Harrison Central and Edison met up for a tri-match Wednesday at Cadiz Country Club, with the Panthers taking first place in the Par 36 course.

Buckeye Local posted a 184 as a team, Edison followed with a 193, and Harrison Central totaled 198.

The Panthers' Kamden Kinyo was the day's medalist with 38 strokes. Runner-up medalist was Harrison Central's Nash Roberts, who shot a 40.

Kinyo's 38, Kaleb Stang's 45, Dominic Kempton's 48, and a three-way tie at 53 between Adam Blackwell, Dugan Dobrovich and Jordan Kovalski filled out Buckeye Local's victorious total.

Cash Meadows paced Edison, shooting a 43 while Brady Haight fired a 48, Luke Ferralli a 49 and Becken Benovsky a 53.

The Huskies score was rounded out by Logan Johnson with a 47, Hayden Skipper a 54 and Liam Roberts a 57.

Toronto second in tri

MOUNDSVILLE -- The Shadyside golf team captured a match Wednesday at Moundsville Country Club against Toronto and Frontier.

The Tigers shot 181 while Toronto fired a 209.

Shadyside's Brandon O'Grady was medalist Wednesday, shooting a 38 on the Par 36 course, finishing with two birdies on his day. Coltyn Harman shot a 46, Wyatt Parr a 47 and Bryce Sloan a 50.

Joey Westlake led Toronto with a 48, and Briley Hupp led Frontier with a 50.

Wheeling Central edges Brooke

WELLSBURG -- The Maroon Knights edged out the Bruins on Wednesday, a narrow three-stroke margin, 148-151, separating the two teams in a head-to-head match at Brooke Hills Golf Course.

Brooke's Savannah Alcantara was medalist on the day, shooting a 45 on the Par 30 course. Grace Sheperd (50) and Sophia Wilkerson (56) rounded out the team.

For Wheeling Central, Amelia Balcerek (46), Quinn Yoders (51) and Olivia Blatt (51) teamed up for the Knights' team total of 148.
