Big Red golfs to victory in quad match
STEUBENVILLE — The Big Red golf team racked up three wins in a quad match on Monday.
The now 14-3 Big Red shot a 166, 21 strokes better than runner up Indian Creek. Catholic Central turned in a 205 and East Liverpool carded a 209.
Big Red’s Chris Elliott was the medalist with a 39, while Evan Liggett and Noah Kokiko each fired 42s and Jaggar Rawson followed closely with a 43.
For Creek, Riley Guskea had a 44, Stan Amis a 45, Tre-Feist-Winland a 48 and Garrin Cook a 50.
Catholic Central’s scores came from Eli Fayak, the second best of the day at 41, Jonny Sollom (44), Dom Mascio (57) and Taylor Emsinger (63).
Buckeye Local wins two
RAYLAND — The Panthers improved to 22-2 with wins over Union Local and St. John Academy at Bec-Wood Hills Golf Course on Monday.
Adam Blackwell was the medalist with a 38. He was joined on the first-place Panthers by Dom Kempton (41), Dugan Dobrovich (43) and Kamden Kinyo (45).

Edison tops Claymont
UHRICHSVILLE — The Edison girls golf team topped Claymont at Big Bend Golf Course on Monday, 201-207.
Kallie McKeegan carded a 43 to lead the Wildcats, while Bella Evans shot a 52 and Katie Phillips and Gwen Stine each turned in 53s.
Brooke tops tri
WHEELING — Brooke came out on top of a triangular girls golf match Monday at the par-36 Crispin Course inside Oglebay Park.
The Bruins fired a 164, which was three shots better than Wheeling Central. Weir, with just three players, was third at 203.
Brooke’s Ellie McDonald was medalist with a 49. Other scorers for the Bruins were Grace Shepard with a 57, while Sophia Wilkerson and Kayleigh Suddoth both carded 58s.
Faith Smith led the Red Riders with 63.

Toronto falls in five
TORONTO — The Toronto volleyball team dropped a five-set battle with Lisbon on Monday.
The Red Knights won sets one and two before the Blue Devils won the last three.
Jayna Reeves had four aces, 19 kills and 16 digs, Chloe Fisher had two aces, five kills, 24 assists and nine digs, Kylie Mitchell had 10 kills, two blocks and two digs andGracee Rex recorded an ace, 31 assists and two assists.

Edison girls fall
WEST LAFAYETTE — The Edison girls soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision on the road at Ridgwewood on Monday.
JCC wins in OT
PITTSBURGH – Jordan Crew was a one man wrecking crew scoring all five goals for Jefferson County Christian in downing the Pittsburgh Christian in overtime.
Seth Gump had two assists and Andrew Graves made 10 saves. The Royals are 3-3-1.
