Crusaders fall to the top seed
CAMBRIDGE -- The Catholic Central girls soccer team's strong season came to an end on Monday.
The Crusaders dropped a 2-0 decisision to top seed Bishop Rosecrans in the the Division V, East District semfinals in Cambridge.
The Crusaders, which end their season at 11-6-2, were the No. 4 seed.
Josey Urbanczyk, one of Central's six seniors, made eight saves in goal for the Crusaders in her last game in blue and gold.
Also finishing their careers at Central were Therese Baillargeon, Jemma Clum, Jojo Loot, Maisy Symington and Sofia Walsh.
"I would like to thank our seniors for a great season," Central coach Jonathan Hoover said.
Rosecrans will meet No. 2 seed Hiland in the district championship match on Wednesday.

Toronto's season concludes
CAMBRIDGE -- The Toronto volleyball team dropped a sweep in Monday's district semifinal, concluding its season.
The Red Knights, which were the No. 10 seed and conclude their season with a record of 9-15, fell to No. 1 seed Tuscarawas Central Catholic in three sets, 25-8, 25-8, 25-12.
The Saints advance to meet No. 3 seed Strasburg in the district championship match on Wednesday.
The Tigers defeated Catholic Central in three sets in the other semifinal Monday at Harrison Central.
