Blue Dons edges Oak Glen, 64-61
WEIRTON — The Madonna boys basketball team used a big fourth quarter to top visiting Oak Glen on Thursday night, 64-61.
After trailing headed to the fourth quarter, the Blue Dons (2-5) out-scored the Golden Bears 23-11 in the fourth quarter to take the victory.
Koleton Grishkevich led the way for Madonna with a game-high 26 points to lead the Blue Dons, while Reed Wilharm had 15 points and Andre Crossland tallied 11 points to put three Madonna players in double figures.
The Golden Bears (4-6) had four players reach double digits, led by Mason Kell with 15 points, Gavin Geisse had 13, Will Weekley tallied 12 and Noah Willey finished with 10.

Creek tops Beaver Loca
WINTERSVILLE –The Indian Creek girls basketball team made it wins on back-to-back days, topping Beaver Local 53-34 on Thursday.
For Creek, now 8-6, Kaydence Walker and McKenna Scott each tallied 14 points, Cam Ketron recorded 12 and Gracie Wiley netted 10.
John Marshall tops Big Red
GLEN DALE — The Big Red girls basketball team dropped a 52-47 decision on the road at John Marshall on Thursday.
The Monarchs (5-5) rallied for the victory after Big Red (7-5) led by a point after three quarters.
Big Red was led by a huge night from Nylah McShan with a game-high 31 points, while Phynyx Fleming tallied nine.
