Local fighters win their MMA bouts at Mountaineer

CHESTER — Two local fighters added wins to their already undefeated records at an MMA night at Mountaineer Race Track and Gaming Resort, presented by Steubenville’s Angelo Magnone and Made Men Promotions on Saturday.

The 15-bout card took place in front of a packed room with heavyweight Nelson Best’s first-round TKO ending the night as the main event. Best, a fighter from Knoxville outside of Toronto, is now 3-0 as a professional after defeating Tussel Conner (3-7) just over three minutes into the match.

Amateur Shawn Livingston of Steubenville followed his April MMA debut win with another victory on Saturday. Livingston (2-0) won a 30-27 unanimous decision over Josh Murray (1-2 ) in a 170-pound bout.
