Edison boys, girls golf teams top East Palestine in duals
EAST PALESTINE — The Edison boys and girls golf teams each won a dual match on the road at East Palestine on Tuesday.
On the boys side, the Wildcats turned in a team score of 163, besting the Bulldogs’ 191.
Leading Edison was Brady Haught with a low score of 38, while Xander Haught was close behind with a 40, Luke Ferralli turned in a 41 and Jon Whitlactch fired a 44.
Edison’s boys moved over .500 with the win at 8-7 on the season.
They take on Harrison Central on Monday.
On the girls side, a record individual performance led the way to victory for the Wildcats as Kallie McKeegan fired a 35, a new school nine-hole record.
Bella Evans followed with a score of 48, Mady Cornell had a 49 and Teegan Reynolds tallied a 55.
The Wildcats girls team is now 5-3 in duals and is back in action today at River.
Buckeye wins tri
CADIZ — Kamden Kinyo fired a 37 to lead Buckeye Local to a pair of wins over local competition in a tri match Tuesday at Cadiz Country Club layout.
The Panthers finished with a team score of 180, which was eight strokes better than Harrison Central. Toronto was third at 196.

Edison falls at St. C
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Edison volleyball team dropped a sweep to St. Clairsville on Tuesday.
Gracie Dray had seven digs and five kills, Aliya Glover recorded five kills and five digs and Bella Cronin had 11 digs.
Edison takes on Beaver Local on Thursday.
