Bruins seek first win in trip out to Cambridge

HEADED ON THE ROAD — After two weeks at home to start the season, Brooke makes its first road trip of the season Friday night going to Cambridge. - Michael D. McElwain

CAMBRIDGE — For the first time this season, the Brooke football team will head on the road. They’re hoping the return trip to Brooke County is with their first win secured.

That trip is to 0-3 Cambridge Friday night in a battle of teams seeking their initial victory.

The Bruins have met two strong opponents in their first two games, home losses to Beaver Local (2-1) and Linsly (1-1).

To get in the win column, the Bruins will need to get something going on offense, as they have been held off the scoreboard in both games.

The Bobcats, who have given up 35 or more points in all three of its losses to Indian Creek, John Glenn and Meadowbrook, might just be the defense the Bruins can kickstart things against.

The opening kick on Friday night is set for 7 p.m.
