WVHSSCA announces All-State teams
The West Virginia High School Soccer Coaches Association recently released their All-State teams for the 2025 season.
Among those recognized were several local players.
GIRLS
CLASS A/AA
Two local teams were well-represented in the class.
For Weir High, senior defender Bianca Pittman, senior midfielder Brynn Artman and senior forward Madelyn Cramer were named to the first team.
Senior defender Kaelyn Engle was a second team pick and sophomore Emma Noel was an honorable mention.
From Oak Glen, senior defender Macy Hartung was a first team selection.
Junior midfielder Angelina Polly and freshman forward Ashtyn Tharp were second team picks.
Junior Addyson Wells and freshman Amelia Kampmeyer were honorable mentions.
CLASS AAA
Brooke senior Maya Kusic was named second team all-state among defenders.
Earning special honorable mention was Brooke junior goalkeeper Ivy Myers, senior defender Emma Riggs and freshman orward Gianna Siegel.
Bruins senior Aaliyah Siegel was named an honorable mention
BOYS
CLASS AAA
Brooke had a slew of honorable mentions.
They were junior Jacob High and senior Gabe Keener at forward, senior Cooper Byers and junior Jacob Johnson at midfielder, and junior defender Kai Bowers.
