Six locals recognized on W.Va. All-State lists
The West Virginia All-State football teams were announced this week, and six local players were among those recognized.
CLASS AA
Oak Glen, following a 7-3 season and playoff return, led the way with three players earning recognition.
Senior standout Logan Murray was named to the second team offense a a utility player, while Kam Hebrock and Maddox Bowen were honorable mention selections.
Also in Class AA, Weir High’s Daniel Howland was an honorable mention pick.
CLASS AAA
A pair of players from Brooke were recognized in Class AAA after the Bruins’ 5-5 campaign.
They were Cory Maynard and Grant Yost, both of whom earned honorable mention accolades.
