Another big week for the Barons
STEUBENVILLE — It’s another big week of basketball for the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Tonight, the Barons host a men’s and women’s doubleheader inside the Finnegan Fieldhouse.
The women battle Waynesburg at 4 p.m., while the men square off with the Yellowjackets at 6 p.m.
There will be a moment of silence held for Mary Mich and Luke Reimer, two Franciscan students who died last week.
Then, on Saturday, both the men and women are back at home for Kuzma Community Day, both taking on Hiram College. The women tip at 1 p.m. and the men at 3 p.m.
The Barons’ men are off to a 13-4 start, the best start for the program since the 1972-73 NCAA tournament team, and are in contention for the President’s Athletic Conference title.
The Barons’ men are 6-1 at home.
