CADIZ -- Toronto continued its strong start to the 2026 season with a three-set sweep against Harrison Central on Saturday at Cadiz.
The Red Knights are 4-0 to start the campaign, having lost only one set in four matches.
Saturday's match started strong, with the duo of senior Jayna Reeves and freshman Addison Dobbs hammering down perfect setups from junior Danielle Sutherin for kill shots from both sides of the net.
Reeves added three aces in the first set to go with her four kills while Dobbs led the way with five kills.
It wasn't an entirely perfect set. Toronto battled service and attack errors throughout the match, but in the first set, nine of Harrison's 11 points came directly off Red Knights' errors.
The second set Harrison began asserting itself more with its attack.
With veteran Leah Grady setting up a younger lineup, Huskies' freshmen Daylee Walters, Ellelynie McKibben started converting set-up attempts into scoring attacks. Both finished with three kills.
Madalyn Johnson also added three kills as Grady totaled 10 assists.
The Huskies actually led as late as 17-15 before Toronto went on 10-1 run. This time, it was a few Harrison errors that helped fuel the run.
The hosts finished with 14 attack errors and seven service errors, with a decent chunk coming in the last half of set two.
That happens with youth and will continue to iron itself out as the season progresses.
A similar situation transpired in the final set as Harrison again led late, 18-17. In fact, errors led to nearly all of the visitors' final points before an ace from Kylie Mitchell gave Toronto its fourth straight victory.
Sutherin finished with 15 assists, but went down hard early in the third set and had to sit for half the set.
With the team's primary setter on the bench, Dobbs moved into that roll and did a solid job in Sutherin's absence.
The Red Knights will look to go 5-0 today when they take on Weir at home. The Red Riders are 1-2, coming off a 3-0 sweep at the hands of Wheeling Park.
Harrison, meanwhile, has a break until Thursday when the Huskies head to Wintersville to face Indian Creek.
The Redskins are off to an 0-3 start after graduation losses hit Creek hard. IC faces both Brooke and Edison this week prior to the Harrison matchup.
