RED RIDERS TOP CENTRAL
WEIRTON -- The Weir High volleyball team swept visiting Catholic Central on Tuesday night at home, 25-23, 25-20, 28-26.
Liliana Ascencio tallied 30 assists, four digs and two aces, Ella Kaufman had 13 kills, 16 digsm four assists and two aces, Zoey Spencer recorded nine kills and nine digs, Gabby Sprouse had five kills, seven digs and a block and Alivia Macek finished with 14 digs.
The Red Riders (2-3) visit Edison on Thursday. Central (2-3) hosts Big Red on Thursday.
OAK GLEN SWEEPS UL
BELMONT -- The Oak Glen volleyball team swept to a victory on the road at Union Local on Tuesday, 25-12, 25-13, 25-20
Audrina May had nine nine kills, Mattie Carney had eight kills, Caetlyn Six had five kills. Mikalyn Balch had 15 assists and nine digs. Bryson Adams had 10 assists and two digs. Keira Vick had 11 digs, Kendall Six had five digs and Layla Skavenski had three digs. Naomi Ayers had two kills and two blocks.
The Golden Bears (9-2) visit Linsly on Tuesday.
TORONTO STAYS UNDEFEATED
BOWERSTON -- The Toronto volleyball team’s undefeated start continued as the Red Knights improved to 6-0 with a four set win at Conotton Valley on Tuesday.
Danielle Sutherin recorded 28 assists and an ace, Jayna Reeves tallied 13 kills, six digs, two aces an assist and a block, Addison Dobbs had 10 kills, three aces, eight digs and a block and Haley Bodnar finished with 14 digs, four aces and a kill.
The Red Knights host Lisbon on Thursday.

RICHMOND -- The Edison volleyball team won a five set battle with Indian Creek on Tuesday.

BROOKE TIES UL
WELLSBURG -- The Brooke boys soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie with Union Local on Tuesday.
The Bruins (1-3-2) got a goal and an assist from Giacomo Dall’omo, a goal from Jacob High and 10 saves from Bronson Pack.
Brooke visits Big Red on Thursday.

STEUBENVILLE -- The Catholic Central boys soccer team blanked visiting Catholic Central 2-0 on Tuesday.

HARRISON BLANKS EDISON
RICHMOND -- The Harrison Central girls soccer team scored twice in the second half to top Edison 2-0 on the road.
The Huskies (3-3) got goals from Emeri Sefsick and Morgan Stock to earn the season sweep of the Wildcats. Lilli Smith had 12 saves.
The Huskies host Cambridge on Thursday.

WEIR TOPS FIVE-TEAM MATCH
NEW CUMBERLAND -- The Red Riders prevailed over Madonna, Steubenville, Oak Glen and Toronto on Tuesday at Woodview Golf Course.
Weir's 159 team total was the low-score against the Blue Dons (169), Big Red (172), Golden Bears (172) and Red Knights (185).
The Red Riders' Guy Meneely shot an even Par, carding a 36 to take home medalist honors for the day. Aiden Ferguson (39), Evan Baker (42) and Jonny Horstman (42) all contributed to Weir's team score.
Weir holds a 13-2 record.
Madonna was led by Justin Kaczmarek's 40. Zach Jenkins and Gannon Cline each carded a 41 to pace Oak Glen. Andrew Matzorkis totaled a 39, best on Steubenville's squad. Hand Bodnar led Toronto with a 44.
