BIG RED EDGES PHILO
DUNCAN FALLS – The Big Red girls soccer team went on the road on Saturday and edged Philo for a big victory, 3-2.
Jaylin Crites had two goals and an assist and Gianna Thomas had a goal and an assist in the victory. In goal, Jodeci Green had a big game with 15 saves.
The win improves Big Red to 5-2-2 ahead of a trip to Beaver Local today.
EDISON WINS BIG
NEW MARTINSVILLE – The Edison girls soccer team went on the road Saturday and rolled to an 11-2 victory over Magnolia.
For the Wildcats (3-4), Lilly Montgomery had four goals, Ella Bright and Peyton Mills two goals each, and Riley Conkle, Emily Kieratta and Layla Cronin each also scored a goal each.
Edison heads to Columbiana on Wednesday.

OAK GLEN COMPETES IN TOURNEY
BRIDGEPORT – The Oak Glen volleyball team went 1-3 in a tournament at Bridgeport on Saturday, beating Robert C. Byrd and falling to Herbert Hoover, James Monroe and Capital.
Against Hoover, Mattie Carney had 5 kills and Naomi Ayers had 3 kills. Mikalyn Balch had 8 assists and 11 digs. Bryson Adams had 4 assists. Keira Vick had 13 digs. Kendall Six had 6 digs. Ellie Smith had 4 digs.
Against James Monroe, Zoey Caughey had 7 kills and Naomi Ayers had 6 kills. Mikalyn Balch 8 assists and Bryson Adams 9 assists. Kendall Six had 6 digs. Layla Skavenski had 3 digs.
In the win over Robert C Byrd, Mattie Carney had 5 kills and Naomi Ayers had 4 kills. Mikalyn Balch had 9 assists and Bryson Adams had 4 assists. Kylie Robinson had 2 digs and Ellie Smith had 3 digs.
Against Capitol, Naomi Ayers had 7 kills and Caetlyn Six had 6 kills. Mikalyn Balch had 10 assists and Bryson Adams had 7 assists. Keira Vick had 11 digs, Kendall Six had 4 digs, Layla Skavenski had 3 digs and Katie Kliner had 3 digs.
Oak Glen plays at home against Weir on Tuesday for the fourth annual Teacher Appreciation Night match.

EDISON COMPETES IN TOURNAMENT
CAMBRIDGE – The Edison girls golf team competed at a tournament at Cambridge Country Club.
Kallie McKeegan shot an 85 to place sixth overall, while Bella Evans fired a 99, Teagan Reynolds a 100 and Mady Cornell a 107.
