Big Red volleyball falls to Meadowbrook

BYESVILLE -- The Steubenville volleyball squad fell to Meadowbrook 25-13, 25-12, 25-12 on Saturday.

Big Red's Anna Taylor compiled seven points, seven assists, two kills and 15 digs. Sidney Snider had six points and four kills. Jaliyah Hubbard recorded seven kills and four points. Madison Fields had 11 points, and Sammi Cucarese added six digs.

Indian Creek girls win third straight game

WINTERSVILLE -- The Indian Creek girls soccer team won its third straight game with an 8-1 win over Cambridge on Saturday.

Indian Creek's Kelsey Lewis led with three goals and an assist. Payton Gaydosh had two goals and an assist. Madelyn Yoho, Hannah Titi and Rileigh Gualtiere contributed one goal each. Yoho, Titi, Rachel Cooper and Sloane Lewis added an assist apiece. Mackenzie Orban made three saves.

The Redskins host a jayvee game with St. Clairsville at 5 p.m. Monday. The varsity squad travels to Steubenville Catholic Central at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Madonna girls win second game

WEIRTON -- Kali Krynicki's two goals lifted the Madonna girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Ravenswood on Saturday.

Miah LeFever had the other Madonna goal. MaKayla Virden had two assists, while Gianna Mascio added one.

Madonna improves to 2-1-0 and will host John Marshall at 6 p.m. Monday.

Big Red boys take care of Beaver Local

CALCUTTA -- The Steubenville boys soccer team took down Beaver Local 3-0 on Saturday.

Big Red improves to 2-0 this season.

Adam DiCarlo, Evan Naylor and Ian Phillips all scored for Big Red. Justice Slappy tallied two assists, while Alex Eroshevich had one. Jacob Clevenger recorded two saves in goal.

Steubenville travels to Indian Creek at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Oak Glen boys win 2-0

NEW MANCHESTER -- The Oak Glen boys soccer team defeated Trinity Christian 2-0 on Saturday.

Oak Glen improves to 2-3-0 this season.

Lucas Harris and Jeremy Adams scored for the Golden Bears. Matt Wright and Seth Mozingo recorded an assist. each. Jacob Clark tallied six saves in goal. Trinity's Fletcher Hartsock had 24 saves.

Indian Creek boys fall to Crestview

COLUMBIANA -- The Indian Creek boys soccer team fell to Crestview 9-0 on Saturday.

Luke Wickline tallied a hat trick for the Rebels.

Indian Creek hosts Big Red at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
