ROMNEY -- A second-quarter scoring outburst by Hampshire was too much for Brooke to overcome Friday night, falling 21-7 on the road.
Hampshire scored all 21 points in the second quarter after a scoreless opening 12 minutes.
Alex Pritts had a 4-yard scoring run, Trevor Sardo a 16-yard reception and Nevin Ludwick a 76-yard run for the Trojans (2-2) in the outburst, which put Hampshire up, 21-0, at the half.
Brooke got on the board in the third quarter with a Braelyn Sperringer 47-yard touchdown pass from Logan Gaschler to make it 21-7, but the Bruins (1-3) were not able to get any closer as that ended up the final.
Gaschler completed 6 of 11 passes for 110 yards, the score and a pick. He also led the rushing attack with 50 yards on eight carries. Roger Gabbert had 19 yards on seven totes, while Drake Hukill recorded 32 yards on 11 carries.
Sperringer finished with 77 yards and the score on two catches. Aaron Scipio hauled in four passes for 41 yards.
