STEUBENVILLE -- The Big Red volleyball team topped Carrollton in straight sets on Monday at home, 25-23, 27-25, 25-16.
Mea Lulla led Steubenville with 18 points, two aces, 16 receptions, and 24 digs.
Sarah Allen had 12 points, four kills, 10 receptions and 7 digs, Tori Mitchell 11 points, one ace, 20 kills, two blocks and two digs and Maggi Cucarese six points, one ace, two kills and 31 assists.
Big Red is scheduled to travel to Beaver Local on Wednesday.
CCHS competes at Speidel
WHEELING -- The Catholic Central golf team competed in a five-team match at Oglebay's Speidel Course on Monday, placing in a tie for third.
John Marshall topped the event with a team score of 160, while Morgantown shot a 174 and the Crusaders tied Linsly at 178.
JM's Travis DeGarmo was the medalist with a two-over 38.
For Central, Brendon Schaefer led the way with a 41, Vince Barcalow shot a 45, as did Olivia Gibas, and Johnny O’Karma finished with a 47.
