TORONTO -- The Toronto boys basketball team stormed back and won a thriller at home over visiting Catholic Central on Friday night, 51-49.
The Red Knights trailed 30-22 at halftime and 41-36 going to the fourth quarter but out-scored the Crusaders 15-8 in the final eight minutes.
Caden Benton, who netted the winning bucket in the closing seconds, led Toronto with 13 points.
Nolan Dickinson and Noah Karaffa each reached double figures with 10 points.
For the Crusaders, Benji Rook had a big game with 22 points, while Daniel Bolster and Tommy Pergi each recorded nine.
Huskies stop Edison
RICHMOND -- Hayden Cassidy netted 24 points to lead Harrison Central to a 74-51 win on the road at Edison on Friday night.
The Huskies opened a 34-24 lead and halftime and did not look back.
The Wildcats had three players hit double digits as Luke Taylor netted 13, Hunter Rothacker 12 and Brayden Moses contributed 10.
Linsly tops Brooke
WELLSBURG -- Brooke's girls basketball team dropped a 49-37 decision to Linsly on Friday on the second day of the Bruins Tip-Off Tournament.
Leading the way for Brooke was Ava Bolen with 22 points, while Mikayla Villa tallied six and Bailey Serevicz netted four.
