Bruins get back in the win column against Oak Glen

WELLSBURG -- The Brooke football team scored early and often to snap a three-game skid and get back in the win column by topping Oak Glen 47-6 on Friday night at Brooke Memorial Stadium.
The Bruins scored the first 47 points to take complete control of the game with rushing touchdowns of 3, 8, 43, 1, 3 and 8 yards and a 12-yard passing score.
Josh Maher, who led the Golden Bears with 57 rushing yards, scored the final touchdown on a 5 yard run to break up the shutout.
Brooke out-gained Oak Glen 276-101 in the game and the Bruins' defense had three interceptions.
The Bruins improve to 4-3, while Oak Glen falls to 1-6.
