MORGANTOWN — The fullback is back for West Virginia football. The days of a player who has the size of a tight end but can carry the ball like a running back will be displayed on Mountaineer Field once again. Rich Rodriguez turned some heads when he picked up fullback Kayden Luke from Arizona in the transfer portal. Luke is completely bald in his WVU football photo — he had a full head of hair at Arizona — and comes in at 251 pounds and 5-foot-11. CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cleveland Guardians and Pittsburgh Pirates will play a doubleheader on Saturday after the opening game of the weekend series between the teams was postponed on Friday night because of poor air quality caused by wildfires. The teams and umpire crew met at 4:30 p.m. EDT, when the air quality index was at 203, which is deemed to be very unhealthy and hazardous. MORGANTOWN — There were a lot of issues for West Virginia football's 2025 4-8 season, and one of the biggest was the offensive line. The Mountaineers' lineman allowed the second-most sacks in the Big 12 last season (38), just behind Colorado, who was one of the two conference wins for WVU.
