Gina T. Judy is the Steubenville Art Association’s featured artist for September at Historic Fort Steuben’s Visitors Center, 120 S. Third St., Steubenville. Judy, the association’s vice president and chair of programs, has 13 works on display, mostly plein-air landscapes and figures from live models. Works are drawing and painting media, watercolor, acrylics, pastel and conte’ crayon. The Richmond artist is a native of Steubenville who taught 30 years in the Indian Creek School District before her retirement. Her works are in the Georgia Watercolor Society member show in Gainesville, Ga., and in the North Hills Art Center member show in Pittsburgh. She recently had three works accepted into Wheeling’s “Crosscurrents” Regional art exhibition; was in the Teachers’ Exhibit at Artworks Around Town in Wheeling; and earlier this spring was in the W. Va. Watercolor Society Juried National “Aqueous ’17” in Princeton. In October, she will be in the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society’s Juried International “Aqueous ’17” at the Spinning-Plate Gallery and in the Spokane Watercolor Society’s National Exhibit in Spokane, Wash. The local display continues through Sept. 28.
