Police Beat Jefferson County Drug Task Force Man charged after search – A Mingo Junction man was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on felony drug charges after detectives with the Jefferson County Drug Task Force searched his home Thursday. Joseph W. Francis, 39, of 132 Garfield Ave., was booked without bond on charges of possessing fentanyl and crack cocaine. Police said they seized 94 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl and two grams believed to be crack cocaine. Police Beat Steubenville Police Under the influence: Police say charges are pending against a motorist allegedly driving into yards and on sidewalks on Sunset Boulevard at Lovers Lane, Tuesday. Police Beat Steubenville Police Agitated: A woman living in the 500 block of Dock Street called the police station asking for help Wednesday. A bystander directed police to an apartment in the 400 block of N. Sixth Street, where they spoke with a man who said he and his ex had been arguing and she “left the area after crashing her vehicle into a small tree” Wednesday.
