Steubenville Police Came back for more: A man who allegedly had caused problems at Wendy’s and was asked to leave returned and caused more issues, leading to him being charged, Sunday. Employees initially asked police to remove Kyle C. Gordon, 30, 260 Lawson Ave., Apt. C, Steubenville, and a female juvenile from the restaurant. The two left, and after officers gave the juvenile a ride home, they were asked to return to the eatery because Gordon had shown up and was “yelling and causing a disturbance.” Police said Gordon was taken to the Jefferson County jail, where he was issued ...

Steubenville Police Language of love: A man in the 200 block of South Fourth Street said he’d been “scratched … and (his apartment) destroyed” by a female friend he’d been drinking with, Friday. Police said he appeared to be intoxicated and she’d already left. While they were gathering information from him the woman called him and while the two of them were talking police said the complainant “told her he loved her.” Police said they asked him to cooperate with the investigation “and he insisted on talking to (her)” instead and ultimately decided he did not want to ...
