Charged: Angel L. McClelland, 49, 20 Pinto Lane, Colliers, petit larceny and driving while license revoked for driving under the influence, Monday.

Charged: John P. Kuzma, 43, 115 Randall Ave., Follansbee, domestic battery, Monday.
Steubenville Police
Police said a woman in the 200 block of North Third Street wanted to go to jail “for unknown reasons,” Monday. When they told her they couldn’t take her to jail for no reason, she refused medical attention, nor did she want a ride to a shelter. Police said she had a freshly opened can of beer “that she attempted to use as her reason for needing to go to jail,” but they gave her a warning for having an open container and dumped it out.” Less than three hours later they were called to the downtown Speedway because she was bothering customers and refusing to leave the property. She asked officers for a ride to Mingo Junction.
Rise and shine: A family dispute was reported in the 800 block of Sherman Avenue, Monday. Police said the two parties involved advised there was no physical altercation, but one of them was upset because his father threw a glass of water on him because he wouldn’t get up for school.
Fracas: A property owner reported a man brandishing a gun in the 800 block of North Sixth Street, Monday. The man had fled before police arrived, but the property owner advised police a friend of his was doing some renovations for him and said the man causing the disturbance “allegedly had some sort of ongoing issues” with his worker. He said the two of them “began arguing and even began acting as though there was about to be a (fight)” and at one point the man began reaching into his waistband under his shirt, acting as though he had a firearm.” The property owner said he didn’t actually see a firearm but said the man “was acting as if he were holding one under his shirt.” He said his worker slipped out the back door and the man who’d allegedly had the gun also fled.
Door hanger: A resident said she woke up to find a raw chicken in a bag hanging from her doorknob, Monday. She told officers she thinks an individual with whom she’s had ongoing problems put it there to harass her.
Charged: A city resident was taken into custody after employees at Wal-Mart told police she filled reusable bags with merchandise then tried to leave the store without paying for it, Monday. Roseanna Cash, 46, 314 Lawson Ave., was charged with theft, police said. Employees said the merchandise in question was valued at about $100.
Dog days: Neighbors were concerned residents who were supposed to be dog-watching were keeping the dog in a cage too small for it without food and water, Monday. After several tries police were able to contact the dog’s owner and they arranged for the dog to go inside for the night.
Fraud: A North Fifth Street resident told police he noticed “strange activity” on his cell phone account, Monday. He said a line was added along with between $300 and $400 in charges he didn’t authorize.
Broken: A Lincoln Avenue resident said she discovered the rear window of her vehicle had been shattered, Monday. She said the last drove the vehicle three months ago.
Entered: A man said his wallet and cell phone were stolen from his truck in the 300 block of North Sixth Street, Monday. He said his truck was locked before he went to work.
Spilled salt: An Earl Drive resident told police someone knocked on her apartment door and since she wasn’t expecting company she didn’t answer, Sunday. She said when she did leave the apartment, she “observed there to be a large among of what appeared to be Epsom salt poured all around her doorstep.” She said it’s not the first time something like that has happened.
Bat man: A caller said a man “with many tattoos” was walking in the 1100 block of Oak Grove Avenue with a baseball bat, Sunday. Police were unable to locate the individual.
Poured it on: A Follansbee woman told police she’d parked in the lower lot at McDonald’s so she could run into Harding Stadium for a few minutes and when she returned about a half hour later discovered someone had thrown pop all over her car, Sunday.
Charged: Jessica R. Sears, 35, Pittsburgh, misdemeanor theft and criminal trespass, Sunday. Sears allegedly tried to leave the store with a $17 pair of pants she didn’t pay for. Employees told police she’d previously been trespassed from Wal-Mart for alleged thefts.
Booked: Robert A. Kopras, 64, 1238 Ridge Ave., Steubenville, contempt of court, Saturday; Jared Drennan, 33, 1414 Oregon Ave., Steubenville, contempt of court.
Summoned: Laura Horlacher, 59, 134 Short St., Weirton, petit theft, Saturday. Employees at Wal-Mart allege Horlacher filled a purse with Christmas ornaments before attempting to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. Also issued summons: Tausha Broomfield, 34, 107 township Road 167, Wintersville, petit theft, Saturday; Timothy T. Morris Jr., 28, 1012 township Road 381, Steubenville, driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia (glass pipe.)
Served: Sabrina P. Walton, 40, 484 S. Sixth St., warrant for failure to appear (Municipal Court), Sunday.
Charged: Allison Marie Palombi, 46, 3144 Orchard St., Weirton, misdemeanor theft, Sunday; Carl Thorn, 62, no fixed address, failure to appear (Municipal Court), Saturday; Jeffrey Moziejko, 36, 425 Linda Way, Steubenville, probation violation, Friday.
