Sabin Serrao, no age or address listed, wanton endangerment warrant, Saturday; arrested on warrant following a traffic stop.

Pierre Demond Curenton, 40, 61 Gullette Lane, Weirton, DUI third offense (felony), Sunday; arrested after causing a disturbance at the BFS gas station then driving in circles in the parking lot.

Ahmond J. Taylor, 46, Baltimore, Md., fugitive from justice, Sunday; arrested on warrants out of Maryland when his vehicle broke down on the roadway.

Andriana M. Clark, 36, 1723 Bantam Ridge Road, Wintersville, capias for contempt, DUI-drugs, Sunday; arrested on charges after she called 911 to report her husband was cheating on her.

Andrew Graham Thompson, 38, 442 Thompson Hill Road, Colliers, possession of a drug abuse instrument, Monday; arrested following a traffic stop for defective equipment. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a meth pipe in the center console.

Stephen Suppa, 49, 729 Fernwood Drive, Toronto, breaking and entering, warrant, Monday; arrested on outstanding warrant following a breaking and entering of Cleveland Cliffs property.

Cole D. Armstrong, 29, 103 Spruce St., Follansbee, DUI aggravated, reckless driving, Tuesday; arrested after a traffic stop at the 7-11 gas station.

Josten Dear, 32, 1360 Main St., Smithfield, fleeing with reckless indifference, Tuesday; arrested after fleeing from an officer in a vehicle.

Christy Withers, 42, 944 Byron St., Weirton, embezzlement, Tuesday; arrested following an investigation at Sheetz on Three Springs Drive.

Curtis B. Smith, 55, 160 Greenbrier Road, Weirton, domestic battery warrant, Tuesday; arrested after officers received a call of a verbal argument with his neighbor.

Carl W. Anderson, 25, 107 Southbrook Drive, Weirton, DUI, reckless driving, open container, no proof of insurance, Wednesday; arrested after a call about individual driving intoxicated from the Wheeling area, with a traffic stop made at Stateline Restaurant.

Steubenville Police

Taking aim: A woman said her ex-husband dropped their child off at her residence and “began to yell at her and her boyfriend,” then got in his car and tried to run him over, Wednesday. She said her ex “drove off the roadway, over the curb and a grassy area” to get to her boyfriend, and when he jumped out of the way her ex “backed up … and sped down (the) street, turned around and (came back), swerving toward (their) car.” Police said there were “fresh tire tracks in the grass and mud (and they) could see the tire tracks go onto the sidewalk toward the driveway” where the boyfriend told them he was standing. Police said the report would be sent to the prosecutor for consideration of charges.

Hard to swallow: Employees at the midtown Speedway told police two juveniles “loitered in the store for some time…near the drink coolers” and were acting oddly as they left, Wednesday. The clerk said they checked the tape and realized the two boys “each opened a Hot Wheels” toy and hid the cars in their pockets, then one of them opened a BuzzBall alcoholic beverage “and attempted to drink it.” They said the boy “began beating his chest and went into the drink coolers and partially consumed a bottle of water” before the two of them left. He said boys “frequent the store” and wants them to know they aren’t welcome to return.

House call: A North Seventh Street resident reported an unruly juvenile, but when police arrived the man advised “the living conditions could be a factor in (the child’s) behavior.” Police told him to “take care of the condition of the residence and continue to seek help for his (child).”

Driver charged: A city resident is facing charges after she allegedly struck a car attempting a left turn at the intersection of North Fifth and North streets, then left the scene, Wednesday. Police charged Allison Dudley, 67, 214 4th St., Apt. 106, with operating a vehicle under the influence and leaving the scene. When they located Dudley at her home police report she admitted being in an accident but couldn’t tell them where it happened. They also allege her eyes were bloodshot, she was unsteady on her feet and they “detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage” on her.

Facing charges: A Kroger employee reported a man left the store without paying for the items in his cart, Wednesday. He said the suspect covered the merchandise with a coat and walked out of the store. Cleaning items valued at $150 were stolen.

Charged: April L.D. Southern, 51, 1505 Maryland Ave., Steubenville, misdemeanor theft, Wednesday. Employees at Wal-Mart claim Southern tried to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at just over $111, police said.

Charged: A Weirton man was taken into custody after Kroger employees told police they’d watched him leave the store with merchandise he hadn’t paid for, Wednesday. Police said they located Richard C. Woods, 42, 507 Heaslett Ave., Weirton, at the top of Washington Street hill in the passenger seat of the blue Honda Civic employees had described. Woods, who was charged with theft, allegedly said he’d purchased a banana and the “rest of the merchandise was in the rear seat of the vehicle,” police report. Police said they recovered a black basket containing “numerous beef and pork items” valued at just over $155.

Charged: Shannon M. Stevens, 48, 116 Harvey St., Mingo Junction, and Joseph P. McKown, 55, Glen Dale, W.Va., petit theft, Wednesday. Employees at Wal-Mart allege the couple entered the store with a large back purse and allegedly concealed merchandise in it, then used a “bar code from a Hot Wheels toy to scan (instead of using the actual tag) on obviously more expensive items,” police report. The merchandise, valued at nearly $179, was returned to the store, police said.

Changed her mind: A caller in the 600 block of North Fifth Street requested assistance, Wednesday. Police went to her home but report both front and back doors were locked and no one came to the door when they knocked.

Chair lifted: A West Adams Street resident in the process of moving said he discovered his motorized wheelchair, had been stolen while he was in a nursing home, Wednesday. He said other items were also missing, but he needed the wheelchair documented.

Booked: Misty Goray, 49, 180 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, county warrant for misdemeanor theft, Wednesday.

Collided: Roslyn L. Linn, 58, 124 Maple Ave., Mingo Junction, cited for assured clear distance ahead after a two-car collision Wednesday at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and John Scott Highway. Linn said “her brakes failed prior to the crash,” police report.

Rear-ended: Jeffrey C. Wickham, 32, 2413 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, cited for failure to control Wednesday after a rear-end collision at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Brady Circle. Wickham said he didn’t see traffic stopping, police said. A three-year-old child passenger in the other vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution after he told his father he hit the back of his head. Both vehicles were heavily damaged, police said.

Cited: Ella M. Otter, 19, Gilbert, Ariz., speeding (school zone).

Jefferson County Sheriff

Irate: A Rayland resident said a neighbor’s tree fell on her husband’s work shed and now the neighbor is refusing to pay for the damage, Wednesday. Deputies advised her it would have to be resolved in court.

Spilling over: A Toronto resident complained her father’s neighbor has junked up his property with “old cars, tires and tractors” and burns unknown items, Wednesday. She said her father hadn’t wanted to cause problems but now he’s dealing with mice “believed due to the neighbor’s junk.”

Don’t do it: A Toronto resident told deputies a scammer tried to convince her she’d won “a vehicle and a car,” Wednesday. She said she blocked the number but the individual it’s not preventing the thief from calling over and over. She said she hadn’t given the caller any information.

Theft: A caller said someone stole three weed wackers and two riding mowers from his storage unit on U.S. Route 250 near Adena.
