WEIRTON — Blue Stream Farms has received a $2,000 donation from Youngstown-based Premier Bank.
The funds will be used to support the educational offerings provided to the students they serve.
“As an educational nonprofit, our focus is solely based on providing a world-class educational experience for the students we serve. We accomplish this by crossing the lines between subjects making them inclusive of each other to ensure that the learner is able to maximize their potential. Blue Stream Farms has designed and implemented the STREAM platform to serve as our educational compass in design based on the following elements: S – Science, T – Technology, R – wRiting, E – Engineering, A – Arts, M – Math,” explained Joseph Edmiston, COO of Blue Stream Farms.
“When combined together, we are able to educate students from our local elementary and secondary schools as well as serve as a partner in education for colleges and universities throughout the Tri-State Area.”
“We’re proud to be able to support Blue Stream Farms as they work to bring together the community by creating and implementing projects that are designed for student success,” said Trish Gelsomino, foundation giving coordinator of Premier Bank. “There are many children that benefit from their services within our communities.”
