Gina Judy of Richmond recently was awarded first place overall in the North Hills Art Center Regional Juried animal-themed fundraiser show for her watercolor “Happy Hounds.” Ninety-seven pieces were juried for six awards in the show by Ron Thurston, who was noted as having one of the 10 best watercolor paintings of 2017 by Artists Network Magazine; won Best of Show in the 2018 Signature American Watermedia Exhibition in California; and was the Juror for the 2018 West Virginia Watercolor National Exhibition and for the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society 39th International Exhibition. The “Animals” exhibit at 3432 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, is on display through April 5. In the Pittsburgh area, Judy also is a part of the Juried Spring Member Show in Cranberry Township and the Hoyt Regional in New Castle, Pa., beginning April 6. She is included in “AquaVenture” sponsored by the Kentucky Watercolor Society now on in New Harmony, Ind.; the Webster Arts International in St. Louis; and the “Art of Healing” Exhibit at the Stifel-Fine Art Center, Wheeling, through April 19. Additionally, she is one of the featured Steubenville Art Association artists on group display through the end of April at Historic Fort Steuben Visitor Center. The display also features work by Llelia Buffone, Jeanne D’Anniballe, Nancy Morris, Paula Siebieda and Francesca Veltri.
