The Greater Weirton Senior Center held its latest dance on Thursday, with couples slow dancing, guests linedancing and everyone enjoying one another’s company throughout the evening. Among those participating at right, were, from left, Gerald Cervenak, Mary Gaudio, Pam Ford, Juanita Mitchell and Jim Mixter. All dances are open to the public, with everyone encouraged to attend. The cost for singles is $10 or $15 for couples. Guests are asked to bring a covered dish to share. The center will provide the main dish and drinks for dinner, which will be served at 7 p.m. A 50/50 drawing is held during each dance. Upcoming oldies’ dances will be held Oct. 2, Oct. 16, Nov. 6, Nov. 20 and Dec. 4. Money generated from the dances will go toward purchasing a new roof for the center, located at 3425 Main St. For information, call the center at (304) 748-3490.
