Steubenville Police Dog rescued: A resident in the 1200 block of Arlington Avenue gave police video of a neighbor striking his pitbull with objects on two occasions, Friday. Police said in one video he swung a black backpack “very hard at the animal” when it wouldn’t go back in the house on Nov. 4 and then two days later, “took a full plastic water bottle and threw it at the animal.” Police said on both occasions the dog “cried out” and ran off.
