Steubenville Police Stating the obvious: A woman who’s been using her personal information to enter contests said she is receiving suspicious telephone calls, Thursday. She told police she received a call from someone purporting to be from Publisher’s Clearing House asking her to “purchase gift cards and provide him with the card information,” and when she refused reports he “began making threats that he would caue her bodily harm.” The woman said she’s now “in fear for her life.” Police advised her to be more cautious giving information to strangers.
