Steubenville Police No return: A man staying at Beacon House was cited after he allegedly flipped a table over in front of police, then wouldn’t stop “cussing and yelling” because his charger cord was stolen, Friday. Steubenville Police Loaded: A Market Square resident said a man standing in the upper parking lot had been brandishing a firearm, Wednesday. He told police he was standing at the corner waiting on a female friend to walk to him when he thought the man was staring at him and asked him what he was looking at. He said the two of them had words and then the man drove over to the parking lot and went into one of the buildings, then came out with a gun and “racked the slide of (it.)” The juvenile he’d been waiting for walked up and tried to talk to the man to de-escalate the situation ...

Steubenville Police Landing spot: An intoxicated male was causing problems in the 1400 block of State Street, Tuesday. Police said the man was “conscious but highly confused and slow moving” and was being treated by Steubenville firefighters when they arrived. The homeowner said the man was “passed out and laying in the sun” on his back porch, so he’d moved him to the shade to cool down while they waited for help.
