Steubenville Police Down and out: Callers reported a man in the bathroom at McDonald’s “yelling … and hitting the walls,” Wednesday. Police said they recognized the man but didn’t see any damage to the walls, so they roused the man who “immediately stood up and stated he was fine.” He declined medical assistance, so police took him home. Steubenville Police Food run: A woman said she found two young kids walking up John Scott Highway, Saturday. She told police they told her they were “trying to go to McDonald’s.” Police said the kids told them where they live and they drove them to their homes. Steubenville Police Needs help: Someone reported seeing a man unresponsive next to a motorcycle at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and North Sixth Street, Saturday. Police said they “nudged and shook him” for about 30 seconds before he roused. He initially told police all was well and he was just tired, but they’d noticed his face and hands were covered in open sores, which is most commonly associated with hard drug use of long periods of times, and told him they weren’t looking to arrest him and would rather he seek professional help.
