Three arrested as part of meth investigation in Weirton

WEIRTON — Three area residents are being held in the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail after being arrested as part of an investigation into the distribution of crystal methamphetamine in downtown Weirton.

Arrested Tuesday, as part of the investigation by the Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, were Sarah Oneil Stipanovich, 34, of Weirton; Amanda Lee Wade, 39, of Weirton; and Kyle Adam Striffler Waderker, 30, of Brilliant.

All three face felony charges of distribution of crystal methamphetamine and possession with the intent to deliver crystal methamphetamine.

As part of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at 3428 Orchard St., Weirton, where task force members seized an undiscolsed amount of U.S. currency and an amount of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $2,500.

Stipanovich is being held on $25,000 property and surety bond, while Wade has $20,000 property and surety bond and Waderker at $20,000 surety and cash bond.

The Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force is comprised of members of the Weirton Police Department, Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, Brooke County Sheriff’s Department, West Virginia State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
