Oak Glen High School announces Class of 2025

NEW CUMBERLAND — Commencement for Oak Glen High School’s graduating class was held May 29 at the school.

Members of the Class of 2025 graduating with the highest honors were Caleb Ernest Cody Bellville, Alexis Brianne Cline, Reecelyn Marie Craig, Alexander Blaine Marchese, Kensington Lou McConnachie, Elle Marie Monaco, Madison Lynn Murray, Addison Faith Smith, Tina Marie Vick and Kayla Audrey Wright.

The son of Philip Bellville and Amanda Grimm of Newell, Bellville was named to the National Honor Society two years and his activities included wrestling, Future Medical Leaders of America, the prom committee and bowling.

He plans to major in nursing at West Virginia Northern Community College.

The daughter of Adam and Toni Cline of Newell, Cline was named to the National Honor Society two years and was in the cheering squad and Culture and Key clubs, all for three years; and Pep Club.

She volunteered at the library, in community cleanups and at her church, participating in a summer mission trip; and enjoyed riding dirt bikes and painting.

She plans to major in nursing at West Virginia Northern Community College.

The daughter of Steve and Sarah Craig of New Cumberland, Craig was named to the National Honor Society two years she was on the school’s volleyball, basketball, track and Pep and Key clubs, all for four years; and in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and prom committee.

Her activities also included volunteering at her church, weightlifting, fishing and golfing.

She plans to major in nursing and participate in track at Robert Morris University.

The son of Robert and Jennifer Marchese of New Cumberland, Marchese was named to the National Honor Society two years and was in the band and recorder ensemble and named to the All-State Band three years.

His activities included Fellowship of Christian Athletes, tutoring and serving as a praise team member and Sunday school teacher at his church.

Marchese plans to attend Nazarene Bible College and pursue ordination in the Church of the Nazarene.

The daughter of Steven and Erin McConnachie, McConnachie was secretary of the National Honor Society two years and class secretary all four years. Her activities included the track and basketball teams, Pep and Key clubs and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, each for four years; soccer club for two years, extracurricular track programs, pickleball and her church’s youth group.

She plans to major in elementary education and compete in track at Frostburg State University.

The daughter of Vito and Tracy Monaco of Chester, Monaco was named to the National Honor Society two years and her activities included tennis and Key Club, both for three years; the prom committee, teaching tennis, volunteering at school events and working part-time at a local restaurant.

She plans to major in elementary education at West Liberty University.

The daughter of Matthew and Haylianne Murray of Chester, Murray was named to the National Honor society two years, and her activities included softball, Key and Pep clubs, all for four years; Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Culture Club, volunteering for Junior Bears Softball and at a retirement community and a traveling softball team.

She plans to major in business administration at West Liberty University.

The daughter of Michael and Darci Smith of Chester, Smith was named to the National Honor Society two years and Rhododendron Girls State.

Her activities included softball, volleyball, Key and Pep clubs, all for four years; Culture Club, prom committee, Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership, extracurricular volleyball programs, travel softball, volunteering at Allison Elementary School, cooking and crafting.

Smith plans to study English, political science and legal studies at West Virginia University.

The daughter of Jeremy and Christina Vick, Vick was named to National Honor Society two years and Rhododendron Girls State and was student council president three years.

Her activities included volleyball, basketball and Pep and Key clubs, all for four years; Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership and baking.

She plans to major in nursing at West Virginia University.

The daughter of Michael and Margo Wright, Wright was named to the National Honor Society two years and her activities included softball all four years, Key Club, prom committee, Pep Club and travel softball.

She plans to major in dental hygiene at West Liberty University.
