Night closure set for Veterans Bridge inspection

WEIRTON — The Veterans Memorial Bridge will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. Sept. 6 to allow for a bridge inspection.

The closure has been scheduled at night in an effort to minimize the impact on motorists. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated.

The use of alternative routes will include traveling north to U.S. Route 30 and crossing at the Jennings Randolph Bridge, or south and using the Wellsburg Bridge.

Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
