It was Gospel Night at the Weirton Event Center Friday, as the City of Weirton’s Summer Event Series continued. The evening included performances from the Weirton Ecumenical Choir, pictured, along with groups representing Family of God Church, Crossroads North River Church, and Refocus Christian Church. On Aug. 8, the Event Center will host the Brooke Hancock Family Resource Network’s Backpack Resource Fair, with a distribution of school supplies for area youth, as well as information on various community resources. The evening will conclude with a 9 p.m. screening of “A Minecraft Movie.”
