WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued following work on a water line on Overbrook Drive in Weirton.

The Weirton Area Water Board announces the order is in effect for all residents of Cove Road between Weir Avenue and Overbrook Drive, all residents of Overbrook Drive, Garden Way and Spring Street, as well as any other customers in the area experiencing low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
