Coming together
A tradition of more than 30 years continued Thursday, with the Weirton Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Residents gathered at the Greater Weirton Senior Center to share a meal with family, friends, and neighbors as part of an effort organized annually through the Weirton Ministerial Association. Food is prepared by members of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, and served through the support of numerous community volunteers. This year, approximately 500 meals were planned, with food also delivered to Weirton’s emergency responders and those working in the emergency rooms of WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center and Trinity Health System. — Craig Howell
