WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued for all customers on North 10th Street, as well as several other streets, following repairs to a water line in the area earlier today.

The order includes North 10th Street, Ridgeway Avenue, June Street, Owings Street, Weirview Street, Sunset Street, and Elk Street, as well as any others nearby experiencing low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected area listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
