WEIRTON – While operating solidification and stabilization activities for several years, the Brooke County Landfill recently had to obtain a Certificate of Need from the West Virginia Public Service Commission to fully comply with state laws. STEUBENVILLE — A Jefferson County grand jury indicted 13 people Wednesday, including a Mingo Junction man who allegedly sent at least 6,000 emails to the staff at the Board of Developmental Disabilities threatening their lives and the lives of their family members. WEIRTON – Bennett Drive will be temporarily closed for road maintenance, from St. Ann Way to Central Avenue, Thursday, weather permitting. The maintenance is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to the Weirton Public Works Department. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly.
WEIRTON – Maintenance will be performed on a water line on Zeta Street, beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday, according to the Weirton Area Water Board. Residents on Zeta Street, Brookline Street, and the 3400 and 3500 blocks of Elm Street may experience low or no water pressure during the project.
