WEIRTON — With the National Weather Service forecasting temperatures hovering close to 100 degrees for much of this week, area officials are urging residents to take precautions in order to beat the heat and preparing to offer cooling shelters if the need arises. ATLANTA - A local career and technical student won one of the nation's highest awards at the National Leadership & Skills Conference, held June 1-5 in Atlanta. Izibella Brown, from Colliers and a student at John D Rockefeller IV Career Center, was awarded the high school bronze medal in Graphics Imaging-Sublimation.
