Body found in Steubenville's Beatty Park

STEUBENVILLE — A man's body was discovered Friday morning in Beatty Park. Police Chief Wes Crawford said the man's identity is not being released pending notification of his next of kin. Crawford said the cause of death could not be determined at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Volunteers working at the park say hikers found the man's body by the old Stone Lodge.

Kingsview Drive area boil order lifted

WEIRTON - The boil order issued Thursday for the area of Kingsview Drive has been lifted, effective at 8:15 a.m. today, according to the Weirton Area Water Board. The order also included Lakeview Drive and Glenview Drive. Those in the affected areas may resume using water without restrictions.

Steubenville alley resurfacing project to begin Sunday STEUBENVILLE — The City of Steubenville will begin the 2026 Downtown Alley Street Resurfacing Project Sunday, July 26, with overnight paving scheduled from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly throughout the week, weather permitting. Work will include the Commercial Street Alley from North Street to South Street and the Court Street Alley from Washington Street to South Street. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
