Jefferson County faces repairs to exposed sewer line

STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County commissioners were told Thursday there's an exposed sanitary sewer line in Cross Creek that will have to be repaired. District Director Jonathan Sgalla said the wastewater line is what is considered "a force main," meaning it is pressurized and "pushes the wastewater toward another lift station to eventually arrive at a treatment plant." Riverview Drive boil order lifted

WEIRTON - The boil order issued Wednesday for the area of Riverview Drive has been lifted, effective at 8:30 a.m. today, according to a notice from the Weirton Area Water Board. The order was issued for Riverview Drive and Elwood Lane following scheduled work on a water line in the area. Customers in the affected area may resume using water without any restrictions or requirement to boil.
