Grimm Way boil order lifted

WEIRTON - The boil order for Grimm Way has been lifted, effective at 7:45 a.m. today, according to the Weirton Area Water Board. The order was issued Wednesday following work on a water line in the area. Affected customers may resume using water without any boil requirement or other restrictions.

Marshall Co. Schools administrator, former teacher indicted

The former McNinch Elementary teacher and the Marshall County Schools administrator arrested in connection with a 2025 student abuse case both were indicted by a Marshall County grand jury on multiple felonies. Former teacher Kiersten Moses was indicted on four felony counts of battery on a disabled child, one felony count child abuse and one felony count of strangulation, as well as two misdemeanor counts of maltreatment. Verizon stores to host free backpack giveaway STEUBENVILLE — Verizon Wireless stores in the Wheeling and Steubenville area will host a free backpack giveaway at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 26, as part of Round Room LLC’s 14th annual “School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.” Hundreds of families are expected to receive free backpacks during the event, which will take place at more than 1,200 participating stores nationwide.
