WEIRTON – Weirton police have issued a warrant as part of the investigation into an alleged murder in the city's downtown Tuesday. Weirton Police Chief Charlie Kush, in a statement issued Wednesday morning, announced a warrant had been issued for David Barger, 69, following the death of his wife, Donna Barger. Weirton officers responded to 3931 Grant St. at approximately 2:24 p.m. Tuesday, after receiving a request for a welfare check at the property. The order is in effect for all of Grimm Way, as well as any other customers in the area experiencing low or no water pressure. BELLAIRE – The chief of the Bellaire Fire Department has been suspended following allegations he physically assaulted a woman in Shadyside. Tim Bell is accused of an assault that allegedly occurred early Sunday morning.
