Patra Kavadas

Patra was born, Cleopatra Monaxios, on the magical Greek island of Rhodes to the late Nikolas and Anastasia (Yiameou) Monaxios. She is the third of seven children. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Michael, and three sisters, Maria, Pepena and Dimitra.

Patra was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Steubenville, OH. She worked many years for herself cleaning homes and offices in the area.

She is survived by her two sons & daughters- in-law, Pete (Kim) Kavadas of New Philadelphia, OH; John (Missy) Kavadas of Carrolton, OH; and was fondly known as Yia Yia to her three grandsons, Matthew Kavadas, Zachary Denham & Jacob Kopko; her brother, Dimitrias (Panagiota) Monaxios, her sister, Rhea both of Greece; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Patra will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm with a Trisagion Service at 7:00 pm at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.

Mass for Patra will be held at 9:00 am with Father Matthew Moore officiating at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 300 S. 4th St. Steubenville, OH 43952.

Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
