PETER FABIAN
Peter P. Fabian, 92, a lifelong resident of Mingo Junction, passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice on Monday, May 29, 2023 after a very brief stay. He was the last of 12 children of Michael and Anna Fabian.
He left behind the love of his life, Betty (Pauchnik) Fabian, to whom he was married for 67 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Pete.
In addition to his loving, dedicated wife, he is survived by a daughter-in-law, Carol (Pete) Fabian, Karen (Doug) Simmons, and Monica (Phil) Beagle. He also was blessed with six grandchildren, Jeremy (Ashley) Fabian, Becky (Jake) Wright, Stephanie (Tony Silc) Simmons, Christopher Simmons, Annie and Sydney Beagle. He also has five great- grandchildren, Luca Fabian, Conner, Olivia, and Nicholas Wright, and many nieces and nephews.
He retired from Weirton Steel as a pipecoverer. He was an avid gardener, loved sharing stores of growing his prize garlic, loved listening to Polkas and reading the newspaper from cover to cover daily.
Visitation will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mingo Junction on Thursday June 1 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
