CHARLES PLAVKA

Charles was born Jan. 11, 1943 in Wolf Run, Ohio to John and Olga (Gubanez), Plavka. Charles was a man known by many names and professions.

He was known as John, Charlie, Chuck, but mostly known as CJ. CJ was a taxidermist, as well as a licensed auctioneer, all while working as a foreman at American Steel Foundry in Alliance where he eventually retired from. After retirement, CJ worked as a bartender at the Harvest Inn in Homeworth, Ohio.

CJ enjoyed spending time with his wife, Mary Lou, his family and friends and his lifelong love of hunting and fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Chuck Plavka; brothers, Gary Plavka, Fred Plavka; sister-in-law, Diana Plavka; granddaughter, Angela (Indorf) Plavka; grandson, Travis Plavka; four great granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews, including great-nephew Eric Plavka; and lifelong friends, Jack and Nancy Vogt.

CJ was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Lou (Wallace) Plavka; his brothers, Joe, Harold, Frank; sisters, Donna and Patty; brother, Mike; and an infant sibling.

A celebration of life will be arranged soon.
