JAMES FREEMAN

James served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Steubenville High School in 1958. He worked for several years for the United States Postal Service. James enjoyed repairing motorcycles and loved basketball, football, and golf. He also liked listening to R&B and Jazz music.

James is survived by six siblings: Raymond Freeman, Nathaniel Freeman, Betty Bruce, Jeanette Harris, Lavert Freeman, and Ozella Freeman. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

James was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Wayne, Theodore, and Ronnie Freeman.

A service in memory of James will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the GREGORY-MARTIN CHAPEL, located at 255 S. 7th Street in Steubenville. Those who wish to pay their respects can attend the visitation at 11:00 a.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
