E. JANET VOSPER
E. Janet Cahill Vosper, 95, of Steubenville died Tuesday December 19, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born August 1, 1928 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late Victor and Edna Bailie Cahill. Janet is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard and sister Joan Medley.
Janet graduated from Steubenville High School class of 1946, and was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Janet was a retired service rep at Ohio Bell Telephone Company. After “retirement”, she obtained her Realtors license and was a card carrying member of The Ohio State Board of Realtors, worked as a Realtor. She was an avid volunteer for Ohio Valley Hospital, Valley Hospice, and Steubenville City Schools.
Surviving are her son Rod (Donna) Vosper of Pittsburgh, PA; daughters Joan (Mark) Stacy, and Susan (Teek) Mort both of Steubenville. Grandchildren, Julie (Bernie) Battistel, of Steubenville, Jenna (Mike) Schneider of Canfield, OH., Andrew (fiance Sydnee) and Abigail Vosper, all of Los Angeles, CA; Six Great Grandchildren Lydia, Max, and Celia Battistel, and Luca, Zane, and Ty Schneider.
Visitation will be held Friday from 11am until time of services at 1pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Pastor Jason Elliott will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
