HENRY “HANK” DURANTE

Henry “Hank” Durante 85 of Wellsburg, WV passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at home. He was born March 30, 1940, in Wheeling, WV to the late Adam Durante Sr. and Margaret Branch Durante. He retired as a foreman from Timet in Toronto. After retirement he enjoyed working at the Brooke County Courthouse as a Security Officer. Hank was a 1959 graduate of Wellsburg High School and a 1973 graduate of WLSC. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division. Later he served in Korea as an MP. He is a member of the St. John Catholic Church, VFW, American Legion, Elks Club, and he was a proud member of the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother Sylvia Durante, brothers Adam and Samuel Durante. He is survived by his loving wife Heather Barnes Durante of 63 years, his children Ralph (Tammy) Durante, Lisa (Rick) Bain, Michele Durante and Jackie (Chris) Snoderly. His grandchildren Chad Durante, Anna and Emily Snoderly, Elizabeth and Olivia Bain, and Joselyn Durante-Scott, sister Jennie (Lloyd) Adams and sister-in-law Lorraine Durante, several nieces and nephews also survive. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the WVU Mountaineers in good times and bad. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Justin Golna as Celebrant.
